Applications
DRPV500 Video Digital Recorder is the most powerful pocket-size video recording system available, at present, specifically made to produce Candid-cameras and for all applications involved in mobile Video surveillance.
The VDR is really very small (it could be hidden inside a cigarettes box), it doesn't have any mechanical moving parts (it uses standard SD cards to record Videos) and features the MPEG4 DivX recording format which records hours of Video footage, thus keeping an excellent image quality. The built-in Lithium rechargeable battery guarantees long time recording.
DRPV500 is particularly indicated when used together with the Wired camera for concealment and to wear (to which it supplies the power, too) to build mobile Video surveillance systems, completely stand-alone and concealed everywhere.
Some examples of applications:

• Candid-cameras. The VDR can be hidden in a pocket or put inside small cases to produce personal Videos, to be published via Web in your own Blog.

• Hidden cameras. The VDR can be easily hidden in hard-to-reach sites, 'cause it doesn't need any mains power supply.

• Sporting shots. The very small dimensions and light weight make the VDR easily wearable by sportsmen and people loving adventures, for real-time shots of performances (Car races, Bike races, Skiing, Free Flight, Deltaplaning, Paragliding, etc.)

• Mobile Video Surveillance. Insensible to vibrations, the VDR can be used on mobile vehicles/ cars to perform a mobile Video surveillance. The TFT LCD screen allows local displaying of images.

High-resolution Video+Audio on SD card
High performances with the DRPV500 VDR! It records Video+Audio using MPEG4 DivX compression at full Video resolution of 640x544 pixel in real-time @ 25 FPS. Videos are stored on standard SD cards (optional), widely used in photography and digital video recording. SD cards are small and reliable memory devices, completely insensible to shocks and vibrations, available (at present) with memory sizes of GigaBytes (4 GB allow recording about 4 hour of Video footage).

Programmable Recording and Motion Detection
The following Video recordings are available:

• Manual Recording. Pocket controllable without looking at the VDR

• Scheduled Recording. Automatic start at a scheduled time (date and time)

• Motion Detection. Automatic start in case of a motion detection

2.4" TFT LCD Monitor and USB Port for PC connection
DRPV500 mounts an 2.4" TFT LCD screen for viewing real-time Videos during recording and for playing back recorded Videos. An USB cable (included in the package) allows connecting the VDR to your PC which, without installing any additional software, will recognize the SD card as an additional Hard Disk. You'll playback Videos using your preferred Player, copy them on the HDD for playing, editing and burning them on CD/DVD. Videos are saved in AVI format with DivX compression, to be easily displayed by any Video Player and edited using Video editing software. The equipment also features an AV output for connecting an external monitor/TV, to display full screen Videos on TV, with DVD quality.

Infrared Remote
Main controls (ON/OFF/REC etc.) are available on the VDR. An Infrared Remote is furnished to manage all the programming functions.

Power supply
DRPV500 owns a powerful Lithium battery which keeps it completely autonomous. An additional power supply adapter/ battery charger is furnished to recharge batteries or direct connect the VDR to the mains power. Using the VDR in conjunction with the Wired camera for concealment and wear, the VDR battery can supply power to the camera, thus giving an autonomy of about 70 minutes to both devices.

Wired remote control
DRPV800 is furnished with a practical wired remote control (1m cable length) which allows switching ON/ switching OFF/ start/ stop recording. In this manner, the VDR can be hidden inside a small case or object, thus controlling it from the outside by using the wired remote control.
