VIDEO SURVEILLANCE > Video amplifiers
The attenuation introduced by the cable limits its maximum length under wired cameras installations; in general, it's advisable do not exceed more than 200-300 metres of cable length, to avoid losses in the quality of Video. However, if the signal starts to attenuate it's time to insert an amplifier along the cable path. This device amplifies the signal, thus restoring the original values coming from the camera's output. It's not advisable to insert more than one amplifier along the same cable path; this to avoid the unwanted increase of electronic "noises" due to repeated amplifications.
