• Events may be triggered by time, X10 command received, sunrise/sunset, device status change, device value change, infrared received, and various conditions like elapsed time on or off, by email, or recurring.

• Trigger actions include, controlling X10 devices, launching applications, sending EMAIL, playing sounds, sending I/R commands, triggering other events, and speaking with or without MSAgent.

• Built-in TV/Video game timer which allows you to set time limits on the use of TV's or video games. Kids are given a 4 digit password that is entered on a table top X10 controller. HomeSeer will then turn off the TV after a pre-determined period of time has elapsed. Time may be set by day or by week.

• Full logging of all actions either performed locally or via the web.

• Microsoft Outlook-like user interface.

• A special "Voice Control" web page can be displayed with your custom voice commands.

• HomeSeer is implemented as a 32 bit ActiveX EXE. It can be controlled by other applications including ASP web pages. Imports data from ActiveHome and IBM Home Director.

Applications
XTension is the first commercial application for the Macintosh that is explicitly written for Automation and Security. Written in 'C' language it is very efficient and quick. XTension is fully scriptable, attachable, and recordable. Scripts written in AppleScript are attached to any unit and are executed in response to X-10 ON or OFF signals received, or as timed events. Scripts may be as simple or as complex as you wish. Now, with the use of XTension, Macintosh users can join the home automation community. XTension users create their own database of units and variables, import custom graphic views and icons, drag-and-drop items between windows, setup scheduled events, and create and assign scripts to database units.

Applications
The Indigo system is the first new Mac home automation software that we've seen in years. Designed from the ground up for OS X, Indigo works using the popular X10 protocol, which communicates over wires that are already installed in your home. No complicated wiring is required. With this Mac home automation software, your comptuter will "speak" the X10 protocol - including advanced commands like All Lights On/Off, Preset Dim, Extended Data, etc. Your Mac will become an intelligent home control server, offering unprecedented control of your home via manual computer or remote control operation, and timed or conditional variables.

With Indigo, you can program specific action events to occur based on a variety of variables, including time. For example, you can program any lights to turn ON and OFF at specific times, or at sunset. You can also include an optional time randomizing feature for an at-home look, even if you're across the country. With this innovative Mac home automation software, you can even create delayed actions (i.e. turn off lights after 10 minutes of no motion being detected).

Multiple Conditional Triggers
You can also use conditional triggers, such as incorporating motion detectors to turn on lights or other devices as you walk into the room. It can also respond to events based on incoming e-mails (programmed by e-mail subject lines or sender address). This feature allows you to remotely control any appliance or light, even your hot tub, by sending Indigo an e-mail or by using a Bluetooth-enabled mobile phone.

Support Scenes
Indigo also allows you to create different lighting scenes, like "Party," "Movie," "Sleeping," "Away," for perfect multi-room lighting levels at the touch of a button. A wide array of action groups can be used to define lighting scenes and other one-step macro sequences.

Supports Notification Features
Indigo can also notify you via user-defined spoken announcements or e-mail (SMTP) when actions occur. This feature is ideal if you want to be notified when there's a power failure or when motion is detected in certain rooms of your home.

Compatible With X-10 Products
Indigo communicates with other X-10-compatible devices via a variety of X-10 interfaces, including the ActiveHome/CM11A. Indigo also offers built-in support for most X-10-compatible receivers.

Developed from the ground up specifically for use with Mac OS X, Indigo utilizes preemptive multi-tasking and protected memory, making for an outstanding home control operating system.
