Marmitek 09052 AM12 appliance module (X-10 Modules)
Plug-in module for switching 230V appliances.

Features

  • Plug-in X10 receiver module
  • Remote control On and Off
  • For lighting (also halogen) and appliances
  • NEW: From now on, Marmitek models are suitable for low energy lamps and sirens

Applications

Plug-in module for switching 230V appliances, halogen and fluorescent lighting On or Off. Switches loads up to 3600W. Controllable from a distance with Marmitek X-10 through the existing house wiring (On/Off).
The appliance module is a receiver unit that works as a remote controlled switch/relay. The connected load can also be switched On and Off locally. The switch can be used at any wall outlet in the house. The appliance module can switch incandescent lamps up to 500W, resistive loads up to 3600W, appliances with electric motors up to 250W or halogen floor lamps with foot dimmer up to 500W (refer also to "technical data").
As the X-10 switch is simply inserted into wall outlets like an ordinary plug, there is no installation to be carried out. Just set the wheels on the front side to the desired device address (e.g. G7) and note this address down in a list. The load connected to the appliance module can still be controlled locally by its own switch, but do not forget to leave the local switch in the "ON" position, as other wise the load can not be controlled by an X-10 controller. Switch the load off by remote control.
The AM12 responds to "standard" X-10 that is: "All Units Off" from any controller set to its house code regardless of unit code or alternatively individual unit control by "ON" and "OFF".

Marmitek 09191 LM15 screw-in lamp module (X-10 Modules)
Screw-in lamp module

Features

  • Placed between the lamp and the socket
  • Remote control On and Off
  • Also suitable for low-energy light bulbs.

Applications

A Bayonet or screw-in Lamp Module. You can put this Lamp Module directly into the lamp socket. Can also be used with low-energy lamps. It is not possible to dim with this Lamp Module. Its code is set up from any X10 controller and it then remembers this code, even if the power fails. You simply fix it into any light fixture, screw in a bulb, turn the power On, and then send it a code from any X10 Controller within 30 seconds. You send the same code three times. When the Socket Rocket receives the same code for the third time it turns On to let you know that it has "learned" the code. It then remembers this code indefinitely, even if the power fails. To "teach" the Socket Rocket a new code, you just remove the power, reapply it, and then send it the new code three times.

Marmitek 08942 Bidirectional PLC Interface XM10E (X-10 Modules)
Design your own OEM X10 applications!

The Two-way PLC interface XM10 has been designed for controller manufacturers to implement X10 PLC control.

Features

  • Couples your surveillance system with Marmitek X-10
  • Control the lighting and sirens with Alarm
  • Switch your lights on with your remote control
  • Compatible with eg. GE Interlogix, Aritech, Visonic and Caddx

Applications

Two-way TTL/CMOS interface for connecting the Marmitek X-10 system with your own applications or with appliances which have a X-10 interface entry (alarm systems, thermostats, touch screen controllers, etc.). Translates TTL/CMOS signals to Marmitek X-10 signals on the existing house wiring and vice versa. The document "X-10 protocol for OEM controller" defines the interface protocol that a manufacturer will need for implementing X10 control. There is a red LED lamp on the XM10 which is ON to indicate power. It will flash when X-10 signals are being received or transmitted. This module is optically isolated. The timing critical nature of communication with this device requires low level hardware programming experience. It may also require dedicated microprocessor time. It is recommended for professional programmers.

Download for free the X-10 Interface Communication Protocol (Microsoft Word document). English version (237 KB).

Download for free the Microsoft Windows Help file about Communications Bridge. Link between the interface and the PC, allowing commands to be both transmitted and received. English version (13 KB).

FAQ

1. Can I connect the XM10 directly to my PC?
2. I have a surveillance system with an X-10 port. Can I control Marmitek Home Automation components?
3. What is the difference between the XM10 and the CM11 interface?
4. Which cable should I to use to connect the XM10 to my alarm system?
1. Can I connect the XM10 directly to my PC?
No, you need to use the CM11.
2. I have a surveillance system with an X-10 port. Can I control Marmitek Home Automation components?
You do, however, always need an XM10. This connects your alarm system (e.g. Caddx, Ademco, Lobeco, Aritech and Visonic) to the mains. The communication to the different Home Automation modules takes place via the mains.
3. What is the difference between the XM10 and the CM11 interface?
The I/O ports of the CM11 is based on RS232 communication. The XM10 contains a logics port for TTL or CMOS connections. This means the timing and protocol settings for the XM10 are completely determined by your own electronics or control unit. The XM10 is meant for connections controlled by Marmitek X-10. There are several products available, such as surveillance systems (e.g. Caddx, Ademco, Lobeco, Aritech and Visonic) and thermostats (e.g. RCS, Enerzone), that have an RJ11 connection and that can be directly attached to the Marmitek XM10 module. Please carefully check that all appliances that are to be connected, are suitable for use with the 50Hz frequency.
4. Which cable should I use to connect the XM10 to my alarm system?
Please contact the person that installed your alarm system. The cables used differ per system.

Marmitek 08943 PowerFlash SM10 Universal Sender (X-10 Modules)
Universal X-10 transmitter.

Features

  • Flash all the lights in your home when your existing burglar alarm is tripped.
  • Blast your stereo when your alarm trips.
  • Connect the Burglar Alarm Interface directly to a magnetic switch to turn on lights when a door or window opens, i.e. you don't have to own a burglar alarm system.
  • Trigger it from sensors such as a photo cell to turn on lights when it gets dark.
  • From a motion detector to turn on lights when someone enters a room.
  • From a microphone to turn on lights or appliances when a sound from an intruder is detected.
  • From a moisture sensor to sound an alarm if your basement is flooded.
  • From a garage door opener to turn on lights when you open your garage door, etc.

Applications

Connects to an existing burglar alarm system and flashes lights connected to lamp modules and wall switch modules when the alarm trips. Triggered by a contact closure or low voltage input (6-18V AC, DC or audio). Connects to an existing alarm system and turns on lights when the alarm trips.

It has 2 inputs:
  • Input A. The SM10 will be triggered by a voltage (6 - 18 Vac or VDC) or an amplified audio signal (such as a microphone).
  • Input B. The SM10 will be triggered by a contact closure of a switch or a relay (such as the alarm panel).
It has 3 modes of operation:
  • Mode 1. The Burglar Alarm Interface will turn ON ALL lamp modules and wall switch modules set to its Housecode and will also turn ON any other modules set to its Unit Code, a stereo connected to an appliance module for example. All lamp modules and wall switch modules are left in the ON state when the alarm is de-activated but the modules set to the same Unit Code as the Burglar Alarm Interface will be turned OFF.
  • Mode 2. The Burglar Alarm Interface will FLASH all lights connected to lamp modules or wall switch modules. All lamp and wall switch modules will be left in the ON state when the alarm is de-activated but appliance modules set to the same Housecode as the Burglar Alarm Interface will be turned OFF.
  • Mode 3. The Burglar Alarm Interface will turn ON all modules set to the same Housecode and Unit Code as the interface. All modules set to the same Housecode and Unit Code as the Burglar Alarm Interface will be turned OFF when the alarm is de-activated. Mode 3 is the same as mode 1 except that the interface does not send the All Lights On code to turn on ALL lamp modules and wall switch modules set to the same Housecode as the interface.

The interface can be set to be triggered by either a low voltage input (6-18 volts AC, DC or audio) or a dry contact closure. You could also trigger it from an alarm which has an outlet for switching a 220V lamp by using this outlet to control a 220V relay, then use the contacts of the relay to trigger the interface (in the dry contact mode). WARNING - DO NOT CONNECT 220Vac DIRECTLY TO THE INPUT OF THE INTERFACE.

The Burglar Alarm Interface has a test button which allows you to activate it whether or not it is connected to an alarm system. The ALL OFF button allows you to turn off anything which has been turned on by the interface.

Some of these applications may require some additional components such as relays, etc. to interface to the Burglar Alarm Interface but virtually anything which gives, or can be made to give, either a contact closure or a low voltage output between 6 and 18 volts AC, DC or audio can be used to trigger the Burglar Alarm Interface.

Marmitek 09196 Transceiver module TM13 (X-10 Modules)
Takes RF commands and converts them to X-10 signals

Features

  • Wall module with receiver for Marmitek remote controls
  • Converts signals of Marmitek remote controls to X-10 signals for the mains
  • Built-in appliance module: Remote control On and Off for lights and appliances

Applications

The TM13 Transceiver module is the Central receiver that is necessary to make use of wireless remote controls, wireless switches and wireless sensors. The TM13 transceiver converts these wireless signals into X-10 signals on the existing house wiring to control X-10 modules. The built-in appliance module can be switched with a command from an RF controller, such as a remote control or with the X-10 protocol over the house wiring.
As the transceiver is simply inserted into wall outlets like an ordinary plug, there is no installation to be carried out. Just set the weel on the front to the desired house code. Note: the unit code of the built-in appliance switched outlet (220V, 1000W) is always Unitcode 1.
You need one TM13 per installation when you use a wireless controller. You don’t need the TM13 if there is a Marmitek wireless alarm system Console installed.
When used with the CM11 (two way universal computer interface), the TM13 acts as the "RF gateway" to get signals from any X-10 wireless transmitter and to transmit them onto the AC wiring to be received by the CM11 interface. This way, macros can be initiated by remote controls.

  ManualBrochure FAQContacts
Because of the limited switching capacity of the TM13's built-in appliance module, we strongly recommend not to make use of it. The risk of damaging the module is too high and when the TM13 gets damaged, RF control of your modules will no longer be possible. In case you need to control an electrical appliance, low energy lamp, fluorescent or halogen lights, we recommend the use of the AM12 Appliance Module. For controlling incandescent lights up to 300W, you can make use of the LM12 Lamp Module.
