XanuraHome is a modular and very flexible house automation system based on the A10 protocol (X-10 fully compatible). As a result, it is possible to offer for each individual home a comfort that exactly suits the personal requirements of the residents.
XanuraHome makes home automation available to everybody
With XanuraHome, Eaton Holec and Marmitek have developed a new system that makes home automation available to everybody. The system, that has been specially designed for private consumers, is easy to install in both new and existing buildings. XanuraHome is the alternative to busbar systems in homes and, thanks to its unique concept, can be offered as a solution that exactly satisfies individual consumer requirements at a very attractive price.

How is that possible? Simply because XanuraHome can be applied in existing lighting networks and be operated with any type of switching device. As a result, demolition and hacking work is not necessary and installation and material costs are therefore greatly reduced. By fitting transmitting and receiving components behind switches and wall sockets so that they are invisible, switching commands can be sent over the existing lighting network. In addition, if alterations are required later, the XanuraHome system can be easily extended or modified.

Applications

Some appliances can cause noise. This electrostatic noise can disturb Marmitek X-10 commands going over the power line. Placing an AFX3 Appliance filter between the noise source (i.e. a washing machine) and the power line will filter the noise coming from this device and keeps the power line clean.

The appliance filter can be used for example with a TV, computer and monitor, washing machine, tumble drier, dishwasher, microwave, copier, laser printer, switched supplies, etc.

Applications

Built-in module for the single phase amplification of Xanura Marmitek X10 signals. The Xanurahome SVX10 is a signal repeater that forwards reinforced signals in single-phase systems. The LED is ON all the time when in operating mode. The LED flashes when Xanura / X10 signals are received and amplified.
The SVX10 only works if the original signal level in the fuse compartment is at least 100 mV. Each letter code for a building can only be amplified by one signal amplifier.
  • The signal amplifier must be mounted in a junction box or welding box. The signal amplifier must be protected by a 16 A automatic fuse or fuse link.

Applications

Installations equipped with a Xanura or X10 home automation system must be fitted with an SFX40 suppression filter to prevent Xanura / X10 signals from leaving the building and to prevent signals from outside affecting the X10 / Xanura system.

Suppression filters can be installed immediately behind the main switch of the installation. To connect a suppression filter, phase (L) and neutral (N) need to be available, see diagram 1 of the manual.

If the building houses heavy machinery, for example, their electrical properties may have a dampening effect on the Xanura/X10 signals. The Xanura IRIX35 is an infrared interface that converts infrared signals (IR) originating from (programmable) remote control units into Marmitek X10 commands and sends these over the lighting circuit.

The IRIX35 can be used to receive infra red-commands (IR) from XanuraHome remote controls and send them over the power line to switch or dim XanuraHome actuators.

In principle, the IRIX35 can be used in two ways:
  1. Fitted to a distribution box.
  2. Connected to a wall socket.

The RFIX35 makes wireless and remote operation of the Marmitek X10 system possible. The RF interface can be mounted on a junction box or against a distribution box, but can also be mounted against the rear wall of the meter cabinet, if required. The RFIX35 can also be plugged into a wall socket outlet.
