Marmitek offers you the choice.

Marmitek 08932 DIN-Rail Dimmer LD11 (X-10 Professional)
DIN module for dimming of your lights!

Features

  • Remote control On, Off and Dim
  • Local control with momentary action switch
  • Memory function for last dimmer setting
  • Softstart and softdim

Applications

The X10 DIN rail dimmer (LD11) is a 700 W receiver module that serves as remote controlled dimmer. Mounted on the DIN rail in the mains distribution box, it dims/switches hard-wired circuits with several wall switches (e.g. living room lighting). It is designed to operate with 230V and 12V lighting including halogen lamps. The LD11 can be turned on/off, and brightened/dimmed either by an X-10 controller or by external momentary action switches connected to terminal 2 - maximum connected cable length is 30 metres.

The LD11 responds to "standard" X10 commands like: "ALL LIGHTS ON" or "ALL UNITS OFF" from any X10 controller set to its "House Code" regardless of the "Unit Code" or alternatively individual unit control by "ON", "OFF", "BRIGHT" and "DIM". The LD11 also responds to "professional X-10". Combined with the memory dim feature, the LD11 can change the room lighting instantly or progressively.
This unit is especially designed for scene lighting where very often the lighting is 12V halogen, commonly used in living room, study/reading rooms. The unit can be installed in sub-junction boxes for discrete control. Installation made by professionals is recommended.

Marmitek 08934 DIN Filter/Coupler FD10 (X-10 Professional)
Passive Phase coupler / filter, DIN-rail mounting.

Features

  • Couples X-10 signals across phases for use of the Marmitek X-10 system in a multi-phase installation.
  • Filters Marmitek X-10 signals from the mains, to prevent signals come into or go out of the property.
  • Can be used to suppress interference of heavy loads on the mains (heavy tools, etc.).
  • Heavy duty design: 63A, 230V.
  • For full coupling of all 3 phases, 3 FD10 Phase Coupling Filters are required.
  • The FD10 Phase Coupling Filters can be placed directly behind the main switch at the distribution panel.
  • FD10 Phase Coupling Filters also adjust mains impedance inside a property compared to outside, which enhances the transmission of Marmitek X-10 signals.
  • This configuration is ideal for use in showrooms and other rooms close to areas where heavy machinery is used.

Applications

The signal transmission of high frequency pulses via the mains network can be affected by active or passive interferences. When used correctly, the filter/phase coupler will extensively suppress these interferences. Typical active interference sources are appliances that do not conform to the EMC regulations. In addition there are wireless intercommunication systems which use mains borne signaling. They transmit high frequency signals into the mains network. These disturbances are usually carried into the house network from outside, e.g. from neighbours or industrial installations. They are suppressed by the filter/phase coupler. Remaining interferences generated within the house network are without significance as the special dynamic filtering techniques of the X-10 system ensure undisturbed performance. The FD10 also includes the ability to couple X-10 signals across phases. For installation with three phases, use three FD10 filters and couple the filters by connecting their terminals K to the next phase, respectively.

Warning

WARNING! When coupling phases, most MicroModules cannot coexist with FD10 modules. The only thing that will not work, is the transmission function (2-way communication, status indicator) of the AWM2P, TWM4 and the LWM1P. The AW12 and LW12 have no 2-way communication and will work normally. If you want to use 2-way communication, you need to use the FKX40 for coupling.

Signal Blocker TF678 250A (X-10 Professional)
Blocks X-10 signals from entering home and couples them across phases.

Applications

The Signal Blocker makes a barrier to unwanted X10 signals and noises from entering or leaving your house, causing interferences with your own X10 signals.
This unit tests the neutral wire feed entering the house. It senses the presence of X10 signals and generates an opposite offsetting voltage signal to nullify it. At the same time it acts as a passive (unamplified) signal coupler to allow X10 signals to travel between phases within the home. Professional installation recommended. Ideal for apartments and X10 systems close to each another, that may cause interferences. Installation made by professionals is recommended.

X10 Signal strength indicator set (X-10 Professional)
Test the strength of X-10 signals!

Features

  • Test the strength of X10 signals
  • Test the quality of X10 path between 2 locations
  • Check for interference

Applications

It sends a constant P1 ON/OFF X-10 signal at a constant output voltage and then measures the voltage of this signal in a different location. Plug the signal strength indicator into a wall outlet and send an X-10 command. The tester will tell you the quality of the X-10 signal between the 2 locations. You can choose between 5 signal strength levels. With this device you can also test for high-frequency noise affecting the X-10 signal, eventually being neutralized by installing Filters. Professional use recommended.

Technical information

  • Supply voltage : 120 to 277 VAC (+/- 10%)
  • Frequency : 50 Hz
  • Current draw : 270mA at 240VAC/50Hz
  • Receive Parameters : The PRU256 will accept power line carrier transmission signals with minimum strength of 25mV peak to peak. The carrier frequency of this signal will be 120 kHz ± 4kHz. The pulse width will be 1ms ± 10% and occur no later than 200ms after the zero crossing of the main voltage.
  • Transmit Parameters: The PRU256 will output power line carrier transmission signals with a minimum of 6V peak to peak strength into a power line with a 5 Ohm load attached. The carrier frequency will be 120kHz ± 1kHz. The transmission pulse will be 1ms ± 10% and will start no later than 200ms after the zero crossing of the mains voltage and when enabled an additional pulse will be transmitted no later than 200ms after the 30° point of the half wave.
  • Transmit Locations: All transmission locations (0°, 30°, 60°, 90°, 120°, 150°) can be individually activated or deactivated through the SETUP menu.
  • NOTE: More than four activated transmit locations may deliver unsteady transmit level results.
  • NOTE: The 0° transmit location must remain enabled if the automatic level adjustment is to remain active. If the 0° transmission is disabled, the circuit will always adjust to maximum level.
  • Transmit level: The level of the powerline carrier transmissions can be adjusted through the setup menu. When the level is set from 0 to 150 the Automatic level adjustment will be active. This will readjust the signal level for line loading conditions. The maximum adjustable level is 5V peak to peak (level settings of 150). Any setting above this will result in a maximum output (≥ 6V peak to peak).
  • Display : 16 Character x 2 Row LCD, Bottom viewing angle. Contrast adjustment is possible with adjustment potentiometer on the right side of case.
