Applications

The DS90 Door/Window sensor has a magnetic switch unit that triggers the Basic Console SC9000 when a door/window is opened. The sensor is battery powered and "connected" to the security system via RF which means that the installation of the units requires minimum efforts with the maximum effect. The sensor is monitored and failure of the sensor is reported by the Basic Console.

   

Applications

The Internal Motion Detector is used to detect movement in an enclosed area in a house. The ideal situation for this is where the area to be protected has a number of entry points that make it impractical to fit Door/Window sensors. When this battery powered wireless unit detects a movement in the area it sends signals to the Basic Console which can then trip the alarm. The unit is fitted with a sensitivity switch so that the movement of small pets and cage birds will not trip the sensor. This reduces the chance of alarms being falsely triggered. The sensor is monitored and failure of the sensor is reported by the Basic Console.

Powerhorn is used as an additional audio alarm (with 110 dB sound!) for use with the Home Security System. Powerhorn will trip a few seconds later the alarm trips, 'cause it waits the sequence transmitted to flashing lights connected to Lamp Modules 4 or 5 times; this prevents it from being accidentally tripped from any other X10 controller. When tripped, the Powerhorn emits a two-tone alarm which alternates its tone with the lights flashing on and off. You can also trip the Powerhorn from any other X10 controller, which is useful in panic situations. It can be set to respond to any one of 256 X10 codes available (16 House Codes x 16 Unit Codes). You simply press ALL Lights ON, then All Units OFF, 4 or 5 times, or press the Unit Code corresponding to the number set on the Powerhorn, then Press ON, then OFF 4 or 5 times.

The Marmitek SD90 smoke detector ensures that you receive a timely warning in case of a fire. When you are at home, the built-in siren will raise the alarm. Combined with your wireless Marmitek security system the internal siren, the phone dialler and the light controller (not for HomeGuard) will also be activated. This means you will get optimal warning and your exits are clearly lit. When you are out, you will receive a warning via your mobile phone.
