Available models

The VSE range of IP cameras with VGA resolution includes 5 versions in order to suit any CCTV application (see picture and references on the left).
The entry-level camera VRA-SN1250E is designed for indoor general purpose surveillance. The stylish white case is ideal for both domestic and commercial environments.
The 2 waterproof models RB1-SN6600E and RB2-SN6630E with built-in IR illuminator are the best choice for day and night outdoor surveillance.
The VRC-SN6130E box-camera can be used with any lens in the VSE range and therefore is suggested for special application where zoom or extra wide angle lens is required.
The VRD-SN2260E model is a Pan Tilt camera that can be moved in any direction via browser.

Built-in Wi-Fi

VRA-SN1250E and VRD-SN2260E cameras support both hard-wired and wireless connection (Wi-Fi 802.11b/g).
If your network includes Wi-Fi access points, you can connect the camera wireless, except the power plug. All you need is a power plug.

12VDC power adaptor and Power over Ethernet (PoE)

All VSE IP cameras can be powered by means of the 12VDC power adaptor included.
In addition, all models which do not come with built-in Wi-Fi (RB1-SN6600E, RB2-SN6630E and VRC-SN6130E), support PoE IEEE802.3af technology and can get power directly from the network cable. Power is provided by a PoE switch or via PoE stand-alone injectors conveniently placed along the cable.

Best image quality in its class

VSE IP cameras are based on CMOS PROGRESSIVE SCAN sensors. The great advantage of this technology in IP cameras is that the video sensor provides a direct digital signal and no analogue-to-digital conversion is required.
VSE chose OMNIVISION CMOS sensors for its IP cameras. Omnivision is absolute leader in high performance CMOS devices. Their CMOS provide similar color rendering of CCD even in low-light environments.
Thanks to these state-of-the-art components and highest quality standards, VSE IP cameras provide the best image quality in their class. The difference is clearly evident at first sight.
Only the box type camera VRC-SN6130E with CS mounting lens is based on high resolution (520 TV lines) SONY SuperHAD CCD which supports any lens in the VSE range.
The analogue signal is converted into digital, inside the camera.

640x480 VGA resolution @ 30 f/sec real-time

Max. resolution of these cameras is the VGA standard 640x480. The video can be watched at full screen and is suitable to most surveillance application.
The frame rate is 30 f/sec which means real time viewing even when monitoring several cameras at the same time.

Dual-streaming

All VSE cameras support DUAL STREAMING, which means they can transmit M-JPEG and MPEG4 video signals to different clients at the same time.
Static compression M-JPEG gives high quality images, but requires high bandwidth and therefore is very rarely used nowadays over the Internet.
Dynamic compression MPEG4 takes much less bandwidth, still keeping a reasonably high image standard. For this reason is widely adopted, especially on Internet connections where bandwidth is most of the time less then expected.
Each client which connect to the cameras (e.g. Internet Explorer) can select its own transmission options.
IP cameras support both unicast and multicast streaming.

2-way audio

VSE IP cameras come with built-in microphone and audio output for loudspeakers so it is possible to hear the voices on site and talk to the people in front of the cameras.
In the waterproof models RB1-SN6600E and RB2-SN6630E the microphone is not built-in but an audio input for an external microphone VRE-SCM3E is provided instead.

Built-in Infrared Illuminator and ICR

All VGA IP cameras, except the box camera VRC-SN6130E, come with built-in infrared LED for night vision. IR automatically switch on/off according to light conditions.
All VSE IR IP cameras include ICR function (Infrared Cut-filter Removable) which provides better color rendering then standard IR cameras.
The illumination range is different according to models:

• VRA-SN1250E - 6 visible light LED's - 5 m range
• RB1-SN6600E - 21 850 nm IR LED's - 15 m range
• RB2-SN6630E - 43 850 nm IR LED's - 35 m range
• VRC-SN6130E - No illuminator
• VRD-SN2260E - 12 850 nm IR LED's - 10 m range

These cameras come with a lens providing a field of view sensible to the LED's illumination.

Easy access via PC/MAC Internet browser

To view your cameras over the network or the Internet you do not need anything else than a computer and an Internet browser. Cameras support most common Windows browsers like INTERNET EXPLORER and MAC browser SAFARI.

Internet access via MSN MESSENGER (PATENTED)

Unique on the market, VSE IP cameras support the remote connection via MSN MESSENGER, the popular chat program.
Using MSN you can monitor your cameras from anywhere over the Internet without the needs of a fixed IP address. Even if your cameras are behind router or firewall, you do not need any port forwarding or other special settings of your network.
All you need to do is to login to MSN with your usual nickname; the cameras are notified you are on-line and automatically start a chat with you. You can then start watching with a simple click of your mouse.

iPhone, PDA and mobile phone control

VSE IP cameras can be monitored by mobile devices, like iPhone or PDA.
Even 2.5/3G mobile phones can be used to watch the cameras on the telephone screen.

Remote viewing using RTSP players

VSE IP cameras support RTSP protocol and can be watched using any RTSP player, like REAL PLAYER, QUICKTIME, VLC etc.

Access controls and HTTPS support

Access to the cameras is protected by password verification. Each camera allows to store up to 10 different users.
For added security, the cameras support HTTPS encrypted protocol, the same that's used to protect banking transactions.

PPPoE - Straight connection to ADSL modem

Integrating the PPPoE protocol, the IP cameras can be connected straight to an ADSL modem and login to the Internet without the need of other equipment like PC or routers. This is useful if you wish to create stand-alone surveillance spots that just need an ADSL cable to connect to the world (e.g. CCTV in public sites).

DDNS and IP notification

You wish to watch your cameras over the Internet, but you don't have any fixed IP address? No problem.
VSE IP cameras support the most common DDNS services like DynDNS.COM and can even send an e-mail to you anytime that the IP configuration was changed.

Motion detection and E-mail/FTP notification

IP cameras include motion detection analysis and can start an alarm in case of intruder brake-in.
In case of alarm, the cameras can switch a local alarm output and send pictures via e-mail or FTP protocol.
FTP transmission can also be scheduled on a regular basis (for example in order to update a web-site content).

Web cam via FTP

It's possible to send frame shots periodically to an Internet Website, using FTP protocol. In this manner you might publish your pictures on-line, thus updating periodically your Website page.

Privacy mask

Sensible areas within the field of view of the camera can be masked in order to protect people privacy.
This is useful for example when CCTV systems operate in public places, offices or production plants.

Free configuration tool

The IP Installer software provided free of charge with every camera, can search all cameras within the network in a matter of seconds. With a few click of your mouse you can set the network options of the camera and make it visible to other equipment.

Advanced CMS recording software

All VSE IP cameras and video servers are compatible with the SCP-IP PRO software which records up to 64 cameras (any brand) and includes advanced video analysis features useful for Central Monitoring Stations.
VSE IP cameras are also compatible with most multi-brand IP recording software available today (pls. see CMS compatibility list).
