VIDEO SURVEILLANCE > Video amplifiers

The attenuation introduced by the cable limits its maximum length under wired cameras installations; in general, it's advisable do not exceed more than 200-300 metres of cable length, to avoid losses in the quality of Video. However, if the signal starts to attenuate it's time to insert an amplifier along the cable path. This device amplifies the signal, thus restoring the original values coming from the camera's output. It's not advisable to insert more than one amplifier along the same cable path; this to avoid the unwanted increase of electronic "noises" due to repeated amplifications.

Video amplifier (Amplifiers)
Renews the video signal attenuated by the cable length.

Applications

This video signal amplifier can be used when very long cables have to be fitted, using RG59 coaxial cable. The signal attenuation do increase as it travels along the cable, thus meaning there is a maximum cable length that can be used for a wired camera. Generally speaking, a good quality RG59 coaxial cable can be up to 200-300 meters long.
The amplifier is fitted onto the cable where the signal starts to weaken. It amplifies the signal, restoring the original camera output quality, thereby making it possible to double the cable length.
It is not advisable to fit more than one amplifier onto the same line, in order to avoid introducing too much noise caused by repeated amplifications.
The amplifier has a video input and output (BNC), as well as two gain controllers to adapt amplification to the actual needs of the field. The first regulator acts on the whole signal while the second acts only on high frequencies, most affected by cable transmission.

Video distributor with 4 outputs (Amplifiers)
Split video signal in 4 directions without attenuations.

Applications

One of the limitations of wired cameras concerns splitting the signal from the camera into various different directions. T-splitter BNC connectors can only be used on cables up to a few metres long, but on longer cables there is an excessive loss of signal.
Our NDV1S video distributor is designed to solve this problem, splitting the input signal without affecting quality.
From a single video cable you can now have up to four identical outputs, leading to monitors or recording devices.
It also acts as an amplifier, restoring 1V peak-to-peak quality on all four outputs even if the incoming signal is damaged.

Video distributor with 2 outputs (Amplifiers)
Split video signal in 2 directions without attenuations.

Applications

Miniature version of the NDV1S model, with 1 video signal input and 2 outputs.
It uses a 12VDC power supply, and comes with its own 220VAC/12VDC converter.
Thanks to its small size (only 49x42x50 mm), the NDV2S distributor/amplifier is ideal for use in junction boxes.
