Passive converter for twisted cable (Accessories)

Applications

Passive converter for video transmission of wired cameras, on twisted cable. Has an RJ45 connector on one side (for connecting the twisted cable) and a BNC connector on the other side (to connect the camera or monitor).
Two converters are needed for each camera at the end of each twisted pair cable. The device is in fact reversible and operates as a transmitter when connected to the camera and as a receiver when connected to the monitor.

The passive converter NBNCRJ1AS is similar to the model NBNCRJ1S but besides video signal, it can also manage audio and 12VDC power supply. This converter requires an CAT5 UTP cable per camera.
Unlike the NBNCRJ1S model, NBNCRJ1AS is available in pairs because transmitter and receivers are different. The transmitter (camera side) has 1 BNC video input, 1 RCA audio input and 1 DC plug. The receiver (monitor side) has 1 BNC video output, 1 RCA audio output and 1 DC jack to connect the camera power adaptor. CAT5 UTP cable connects the 2 modules using the LAN plug RJ45. Cable lenght cannot exceed 100 m due to 12VDC power transmission.

Applications

Unlike all passive converters, the NBNCRJ2LS is an active converter, which means that is able to amplify the signal and extend the transmission range.
The max. distance between the camera and the monitor is up to 2400 m for color signals and up to 3000 m for B/W.
The product includes one transmitter and one receiver which both need 12VDC power supply (NAL4SS adaptor to be ordered separately). Each module includes a switch for setting the boost level according to the real cable length.

Applications

The active converter is a device that permits using big lengths of twisted cable, due to its feature of amplifying Audio and Video signals. The package contains a Transmitter, a Receiver and two power supplies (both transmitter and receiver need 12VDC power supplies). Cables and connection adapters are not included in the package. NBNCRJ2S Transmitter and Receiver also feature an electronic protection against overvoltage, which give them great reliability for any kind of installations.

  • Connect the video source to the RCA or S-Video connectors of the converter and the audio source to the LINE IN input of the PC sound card.

After installing, you'll see on the display monitor the video footage at Full D1 720x576 pixel resolution at real-time 25 frame/sec capture speed. A simple double-click and you'll see video at full screen resolution.
The included software lets you record video in AVI format or MPEG1, MPEG2, MPEG4 compressed video. Likewise it's also possible to capture video snapshots (in JPEG or BMP format) and store them in the Hard Disk.
